Sydney Kurland
Sydney (she/they) is an NYC-based writer, singer, actor, and fan of sunny days and long car rides. She proudly hails from Los Angeles, California where she was lucky enough to regularly experience the last two items on that list. Sydney a resident company member of the Brooklyn-based neurodiverse theatre company, Epic Players, with whom she performs often.
Sydney's recent writing credits include: Somebody In Bumf*ck, Montana Loves Me (Finalist, 2024 Goldberg Play Prize, Workshop, NYU Tisch; Presentations of excerpts, Purple Light Productions, EPIC Players), In The Time It Took To Complete A Half-Assed Attempt At A Calc Worksheet (Production, Broke People Play Festival; Currently a Finalist for Spectrum Theatre Ensemble's 2025 Neurodivergent Play Festival), and The Toy (Production, Duluth Playhouse ‘What She Said’ Festival), The "Academy" (TV Pilot, semi-finalist 2022 Humanitas Prize Carol Mendelsohn College Drama Award). Sydney is a graduate of NYU Tisch School of The Arts and holds a BFA in Dramatic Writing with a concentration in playwriting. In her free time, Sydney enjoys listening to NPR, doing crossword puzzles, and playing pop songs on her guitar.
